Assume I have an image made up of multiple layers. Is there a way to apply an adjustment to all these layers at once? For example, if I want to darken them all at once using levels.

An Adjustment Layer will apply to all layers beneath it unless you do something to prevent it from doing so.

Create an levels adjustment layer. at the bottom of the layers palette – the half filled circle.

I knew I wan’t going to ask that question right. I’m going to try again.

Assume I have a background plus 5 image layers and layer 2 has an adjustment layer, making a total of 7 layers. I want to apply an adjustment to layers 7, 5, 3 and 2 only (layer 3 is the adjustment layer).

Depending on the images you can use the mask that is attached to the adjustment Layer or duplicate the AL, which should be the top layer in any case.
