This PS CS2 "progress" message irregularly appears while saving every other .psd image, though all saves are O.K. What triggers this message, and what does it means?

I believe there’s some sort of threshold. If the save process is going to take more than a couple of seconds, the message is called, otherwise not.

8 seconds is supposedly the magic threshold for the progress window.
