When you rasterize text and then select the use tool, you are presented with the squares at the corners that you can use to resize the object. When you hold down the ctrl key and drag one of the top corners inward towards the center, it pulls only that corner inward. Is there a key that will constrain it so that when I pull inward on the upper left corner, the upper right corner will move inward also? This will form a trapezoid-like shape.

Any clues?

Shift?

(like in just about every software I know)

Nope, shift doesn’t work for me. Shift constrains the overall dimensions (width and height) but I’m looking to only move the TOP two corners inward toward the middle. The bottom two corners will remain where they currently are. In other words, the top horizontal line will be smaller than the bottom horizontal line (and centered over the bottom line as well).

Edit > Transform > Perspective does what you want. The type needs to be rasterized before Perspective is available.

Sorry, misunderstood.

As Michael says, what you want is perspective
