I just got the Adesso CyberTablet 6400 for Christmas
I tried it on Photoshop CS2 but when I use the brush tool and adjust the opacity, flow, or size jitter to pen pressure, an error comes up saying it requires a pressure sensetive tablet…
the usb tablet has 512 levels of pen pressure and I installed the driver…When I open it on Free Notes, a program that came on the installation cd, the thickness of the line changes just fine according to how much pressure I put on the tablet. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem?

Heya, WhipSup…

If you make an attempt to contact Adesso about the problem, please post back here with your story.

I tried to contact them through email and telephone regarding a problem with one of their powered USB hubs. Never even got an acknowledgment that I tried to contact them…no email reply, and no call-back…no nothin’.

<sarcasm>Just lo-o-o-o-o-vely customer service.</sarcasm>

Sounds like the drivers have some issues. This is something the tablet maker will have to deal with, not Adobe. Make sure that you have the latest driver for it.

Personally, I think that PS (elements AND CS2) only work with Wacom tablets. They are the most popular tablet. I have the same problem with my Aiptek HyperPen 8000U. I’ve contacted Aiptek, and they got back to me right away. I’ve tried everything they suggested, including latest drivers. Nothing is fixing the problem.

But hey, it works in other graphics programs, so Adobe just lost my business.

Same problem with my Adesso 6400. Adesso has very BAD customer support and their latest driver fix ( for Flash CS3 ) still doesn’t help in CS2 or CS3.

I have a Acecad Flair GT2 also, which works fine in CS2 and CS3 but crashes Flash. Its a cat and mouse Wintab game that we all must play.

In the end I think Wacom is the way to go. It’s worth the extra cash to have a tablet with doable support and compatibility.
