Is this new behavior? If so, try resetting Preferences.
Forgot to ask. Is it working in other programs?
I don’t think this is new. How do I reset preferences?
My alt key works with Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and Adobe InDesign. My alt key selects the menu commands in Photoshop but the choices are greyed. My alt key in Illustrator doesn’t seem to select the menu, but I can alt-F4.
I reset my preferences and am still unable to access menu commands with the Alt key. For example, I cannot create a new document when using the Alt key to select from the menu.
Does the old Ctrl-N work to make a new doc?
EDIT: Fully updated?
I don’t know. It works in CS for me.
Ctrl-N works but I can’t press Alt, then select from the menu "new document" because it is greyed out. My version is fully updated.
