I use Photoshop CS2, and would like to have more possibilities to make frames around photos than the option included into the "Action" tool.
Can anyone give an advice for professional application.
Regards,
Jean

Hi Jean,

I created a script for CS and CS2 a while back to add frames to an image. It works by using pre-drawn patterns to create the look of a frame. You can find it on my downloads page at this link.

The script comes with some pre-made frame patterns, and there are also a couple of extra frame pattern sets to download. The script will run with any pattern, but will look better if used with a pattern that resembles frame mouldings. There are instructions in the readme file on how to use the script and also how to modify the patterns for use on images of different sizes than those for which the script was made.

There are also a couple of scripts which add Mattes to an image.

They’re free, so why don’t you give them a try.

Bye for now.
