None of the shortcuts are working for my trial version of photoshop cs2. I’ve tried all the solutions in the FAQ section but nothing works.I’ve also tried reseting the keyboard shortcuts in photoshop but it still doesn’t work.
I’d really appreciate it if someone would help me solve this problem. Thanks.

Are these shrtcuts that use the Alt key? If so, you probably have something running in the background that is stealing the Alt key.

Hmmm yeah there is this small window thing that i can’t get rid off. But it only used ctrl not alt.
This is the thing:

No idea what that is, but it looks nasty!

From Start>Run type msconfig.

That will show you all running applications and services and you may be able to identify it from there.

Could that be a control for Asian character input, such as the Global IME? It looks very similar (except it’s vertical instead of horizontal) to the one depicted at <http://www.andante.org/ime.html>. If you don’t use Asian characters, you should be able to turn it off from the Windows language bar (and then turn off the language bar, as well). I would not be surprised if the IME or the language bar is stealing the Alt key.

Yeah it can be turn horizontal or vertical, yeah i checked it out it is IME. Well i use to use it but not anymore.
Wheres the Windows Language Bar? I’ve tried turning it from Control Panels>Regional and Language Options>Language>Details>(Just messing in there) But its not working.

Yayy, this is finally going somewhere! Hopefully i can solve this problem and make my CS2 work normally with shortcuts =\

Thanks.

Well then, it’s not the regular Windows Language bar we’re talking about.

To remove the IME, go to Control Panel, Regional and Language Options. Click on the Languages tab, and then the Details button.

You’ll get another dialogue box called Text Services and Input Languages. On the Settings tab, there is a section marked Installed Services. The IME should be listed there, highlight it, and click on Remove.

Hope this helps
