Does anyone know if there are any art/graphic programs that can be used to view and edit .PCX files?

I have an old PC game (Mobile 1 Rally) and all the car graphics, etc; are .PCX files. I would like to be able to edit the car graphics to make some custom paints jobs. I’m ill at home so I’m quite bored at the mo’.

I have Adobe Photoshop 5.5, but it cannot see/open the files. Though I can see them through the image viewing program ACD32. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

PCX files should be readable by Photoshop – they always were when I used to edit them at my old job.

I believe you can use general scanner software as well, but if you’re really out of luck try searching at www.winfiles.com.

PCX opens just fine here, using Photoshop 7, but I doubt that’s a new feature. Should work in older versions as well. Try
importing maybe?
