Just want to create plain buttons on bitmap image – rectangles with text typed inside, and dotted line borders, then this rectangles need be vertically aligned properly. How to make this better and correctly in PS7?

Tutorials is good, however, but there is mostly stylish buttons for web sites, various gradient style, 3D, while I meant just to make "hot spot" areas.:) Not true buttons, just rectangles with text, each ‘button’ should have mouseover (same image with border 3-4px) which will create mouseover effect. Will try to find something more close from this.

What you describe is something that is done in the webpage creation software, Dreamweaver for instance. The effect you describe is a "behaviour".
OK you can make a simple shape in PS and import into something like DW, but it would be that program that would supply the coding
for the hot spot to function. I’ve used it on a wedding group in a webpage, who had "hot spots" on their faces, (their idea) and as the mouse hovered over a face
up would pop a resume of the person concerned. (they liked it ;P)
