Embedding Fonts

I am using Photoshop CS on Windows XP. In the past I have been able to flatten and then save my PS files as PDFs and send them to one of my vendors for printing with no problems. Their only request was that I make sure the file is CMYK. A new vendor has told me that they do accept PDF files but to be sure and embed all fonts. I can’t figure out how to do that. If I rasterize the text it doesn’t look good. Any ideas?

Can’t be done. You’ll need to flatten and save as TIF.

Find another printer. Any printer that won’t accept PDF should be avoided at all cost.

Fonts are not embedded in Photoshop PDFs, but there’s no text in the PDF portion. The text is converted to curves. The inability to embed fonts is not a problem.

Please explain:
When saving as a PS PDF I have a choice of including vector data and embedding fonts or using outlines.
So how exactly are "Fonts are not embedded in Photoshop PDFs"?

Using Photoshop 9, I do not see an option to embed fonts.

Well I’m on PS7, hard to believe they down graded something!

I don’t know how it worked in older versions, but it is not a downgrade. The text is outlined, so there is no need to embed fonts.
