Hi all,

I set up a quiz in quizilla (with graphics made from doodles and then manipulated in Photoshop) and a PHP quiz is in the works, in the meantime – I just wanted to see what people felt about the quiz and if the answers sound / images look reasonable.

Any constructive criticism very welcome!

Thank you,

Isabelle

In each character crafted above, we can find ourselves. Your character can be viewed as the goals and desires of yourself or your organization. It’s helpful to understand your goals and desires when considering a site that best represents and reflects the identity of yourself or your
organization!
I’m able to see your brand clearly and market it in a website that works!

I don’t see how’s this possible by the completion of the quiz, mostly due to the unclear scope of the questions themselves, but then again, I’m by no means your target market. I’m just puzzled.

Good luck with it, Isabelle!

What did you get if you don’t mind saying so and does the "result" make sense to you? The questions do not need to be clear to you in order to
get
an accurate result in my not-so-humble-opinon. 😛 Sounds like maybe, "Sasha"?… 🙂

I got "Ollie". I fail to see how the character matches or represents the person or organization’s goals. I find all characters too "girlie" for my taste. None of them is "corporate enough" IMHO.

Then again, maybe I’m just a grumpy old man…

*chuckle*… 🙂 Yes, they are too "girlie"…. wait, Sasha too? I will probably do something with that in the future… It’s hard to figure that stuff out, which is why I’m posting. If I thought my stuff was the bomb, I wouldn’t be here in this NG. Actually I would be making mucho dollars and spending my time in a breezy park in Fiji. 🙂 I went with "unisex" names but how can I create "unisex" cartoon characters? I tried for the artist (goatee) but that didn’t go too well. Maybe 2 gals, 2 guys? Or two sets. The gender thing always eludes me.

Ollie is a business person. They have clear goals and objectives. They are not usually about "fluff". 🙂 In true colours, Ollie would closely relate to the "gold" personality type. Gold type personalities are corporate business people. *grin* I’m not corporate. Well, I used to be VERY corporate but I felt like my soul was getting sucked and here I am making little dollars but I have my soul back. weeeeee… We need Golds but I would rather not be one anymore or at minimum have a dash of it just enough to keep my business (admin, marketing, blah blah blah) running! *smile*

Knowing that you got Ollie, if I were to build you a site, I *might* approach my interactions with you differently. I *might* also glean a better understanding of the direction and look/feel you would like to take with your site, which would be most likely be "corporate" like. *smile* That’s not to say that a client is their "customer" but more times than not they are. In the end, the visitor to our site is what I think is best to focus on. Who "is" your visitor? (a rhetorical question)

Here’s some links on true colours:

Well, I have rambled enough Mr. Pepe, off to my workout session! Thanks for your thoughts… Oh yeah…. *prying myself away from computer is harrrrrrd!*

This post has been brought to you by the characters and silly words: *, "", grin, smile, weeee, blah blah blah… Isabelle, who is never satisfied with the status quo, always finds a way to bring loopiness into her world and manages to laugh at herself daily…. damn her! 🙂

It isn’t / wasn’t a marketing ploy. Sorry you looked at it that way. It’s not even up yet because I’m looking for feedback before I show the general public but so far I haven’t found much constructive criticism. Anyways, why would you or anyone else on this group need my services? That’s a bit odd to me.

The quiz is "a part" of my freelance business. It’s not quite a "superfluous" entertainment thing. It’s showcasing my artwork and creativity and I’m looking for some feedback but I guess I won’t get much. Ah well… then again, given your comment maybe it "is" cool! 🙂

The idea is interesting, but…..

It’s cute, but I wonder at the effectiveness. It reminds me of the e-mode stuff I’m always getting "What hamburger topping are you?" "What breed of dog?" "What does the color and model of your car say about you?"

I couldn’t see the characters in the first question, but when I skipped it and
answered the rest they appeared at the end.

The drawings are interesting, but Pepe’s right, kinda girly. To address the androgyny issue, what about partial faces, or none at all?

And, before you ask, I forget the character name– it was green and had a calculator or cellphone or something.

Don’t be sorry. It could be an excellent ‘marketing ploy’, (that’s nothing to be ashamed of) but needs some work.
One of the problems is that it is unbalanced – not completely entertainment, but not believable as a ‘diagnostic tool’.

Stretch yourself a little further – research ways that you could make it more valid and you could have quite a creative feature.
The quiz is "a part" of my freelance business. It’s not quite a "superfluous" entertainment thing. It’s showcasing my artwork and creativity and I’m looking for some feedback but I guess I won’t get much.

Just because you haven’t heard what you think you want doesn’t mean you aren’t getting feedback.
I think the responses have to do with the unbalanced nature of the quiz.
