I used to import Amiga IFF files with Photoshop 6 all the time. Now i’m using CS2 and it won’t import them – i get a message of "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

I was unable to find a plug-in on the web for it and noticed that the only mentions of using Amiga IFF files with Photoshop refer to versions 1.5 to 6 of Photoshop. Did Adobe drop support for this format? According to the following Adobe page Photoshop is capable of importing them: <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/329599.html>

FYI: Yes, i still use my Amiga. The files in question were generated by an Astronomy program (Distant Suns 5). They feature accurate night sky layouts which i intend to use in the background of a web page header.

Look at the Goodies folder on the resources and extras CD – you will find the IFF format plugin there

Thanks Len

I ended up using my Amiga to save them as jpgs, but i found the plug-in on the CD so i’ll be able to load them directly next time.
