I’m on a windows xp, but I’ve recently tried to use adobe gamma to fix the colors on my prints. I was using the adobe gamma program to do this, but doesn’t seem to work any better. I’ve tried to find a way to restore everything to factory default. I’m using a laptop, LCD. not really that well for using adobe gamma. I was wondering if uninstalling would do anything? Or is there a specific way to get my monitor to factory default?

Steven,

Right click the desktop, go to Properties, Settings, Advanced, Color Management.

There you should see the current ICC profile. You can select another or delete it.

It is better however to do calibrate and profile the monitor properly. Read <http://www.computer-darkroom.com>

Get a calibration device and dump Adobe Gamma. They are not as expensive as they used to be.
