What kind of clock (analog, digital)? Did you want the clock to have a specific look? How will you be using the image? For example, are you just trying to integrate a clock into a beach scene? Or did you want it as more of a watermark? Can you post an example of what you’re looking for?

Hi:
I just need to transpose the numbers onto a photo,I am making framed clocks of local scenes. It is analog, I’m getting the clock works from Klockit, the image will be mounted and then I want to print the numbers right on the photo.
I would like to have a template so that I don’t have to redo the clock numbers everytime I make a new photo.

I need to improve the photography but you can see a couple of the framed clocks at www.garysclocks.com. On these clocks I used stick on letters, but I want to get away from that.
Thanks

You can surely find a template on the Web. Alternatively, you can buy a clock, take out the face and scan it (or snap it with a digicam). OR spend 30 seconds in FreeHand and have this (which you are welcome to use if it helps you):

I assume you have some sort of software that you can plug this into as your guide…

Assuming you want a larger diameter template accommodating one tick for every minute, this can best be done with the Filter Factory plug-in which comes with PS 5 (I think). A minor FF complexity is that its polar coordinates use 1024 angular positions which must be integers, and dividing 1024 by multiples of 60 requires you to take the nearest integer. Also FF seems to allow only a half dozen iterations, which means piecing sectors together. Whether you generate the ticks with FF or otherwise, tedium can be lessened by completing only one quadrant, then flipping a duplicate horizontally followed by a vertical flip of that to get a full 360 degrees worth of ticks.

Also, try typing "Clock face" into Google images.

Or just do this:

Create two concentric circles with center at the exact image center. Draw a straight line between them at 12 o’clock. Duplicate the image, select the content, delete the background, rotate the duplicate layer 6 degrees, and flatten. You now have ticks at 12 and 12:01. Repeat rotating 12 degrees to get 4 one-minute ticks. Repeat again, rotating 24 degeees to get 8 one-minute ticks. Repeat once more to get 16 one-minute ticks. You now have filled one quadrant or beyond. Duplicate, flip the duplicate, combine with the unflipped, merge, duplicate again, flip the other way, and recombine to end up with 60 ticks distributed uniformly around 360 degrees.

We understand this. You have been given at least 3 or 4 viable methods for doing just that. The template I posted for you, sans minute ticks (just like the clocks you have already produced), can be downloaded from Pixenteal, opened in PSE, resized and used as a guide layer in order to position the numbers in another layer. At that point, you now have a "numbers layer" that you can paste into any photo. (I apologize for not using actual numbers in my guide. I assumed that you could be relied upon to do that part.)

You do understand layers, right?
