I’ve been trying to do some effects by editing layer settings… I want to add an outer glow to a photo but for some reason, "Style Settings" is grayed out. I just want to take an object in my layer and make it glow, I’m baffled by it.
Any help would be appreciated… Thanks,
Mitch

I think you have to first duplicate your background layer before you can do it…others might correct me if I am wrong

No success. I tried duplicating my background and then editing the new layer, but still nothing.

Check your mode, make sure it’s RGB.

Have you isolated the object? A Layer Style affects the entire layer, not justs the objects on it. You need to have the object on transparency.
