Under the thread of "PhotoShop 4.0 Windows XP memory problem", There was a reply posting as follows:

Second, I don’t know that v4 will run on XP, but someone will come >along shortly and confirm it.

I am afraid how I can update v.4 to v7 with v7 Upgrade disk if v4 cannot run on XP. My computer is operated under WinXP. James

James – you don’t have to RUN version 4 to upgrade from it. You don’t even have to install it on XP….
