Hi
I have a greyscale image and i want the pixel intensity for each pixel. I want to do a 3-d plot of intensity of my image that i took but I have no idea how to get the pixel information to do this plot.

On my camera ( its a scientific one) i can save as .ppm .pgm .bmp and .raw

Anyhelp would be fantastic!!!!!

Thanks
David

You will need to find the specifications for each type. This will define where your program should find the pixel data.

I can’t say about .ppm or .pgm formats. However, .bmp is a Microsoft invention. There is no universal definition of the .raw format. Each model of camera has its own method of storing the data. As .raw means the raw output from the sensors, such a file will likely still be in the Bayer mosiac which will further complicate your troubles.
