hi want to change the background of a picture that i have. can someone tell me how to do it. i am kind of new at photoshop. thank you

First you have to know what kind of change you want to make to the background. For example, do you want to change the color? The lighting? Add something?

This can be acheived in about three minutes using the Extract filter (Read the Help Files for "how to").

Obviously you will have a much higher resolution file to work on than the one posted, which will allow Extract to compute a better edge to the cut-out.
