Best resolution for slide scans

Hi:

I’m going to scan some color slides to project in a power point presentation. Is the best resolution at 640 X 480 at 100 or less dpi?? Photo quality as projected is not critical.

For on-screen presentation, the number of ppi doesn’t matter as much as the total pixel count, I’d probably scan at something like 1024×768 pixels

I would scan at maximum resolution and colour depth, perform corrections and then reduce to output specs.
