The current version of Photoshop is CS2 not CS.

You can upgrade from Photoshop 5 but you would need to call Adobe to install it as CS2 won’t recognize the serial numbers of versions earlier than 7.

As a student you should be entitled to purchase the full (not an upgrade) Educational Version at a much reduced price from the normal commercial product.

A student version of Photoshop is about $299, not $500.

Sorry to say, but some people (especially students) can actually spell and use punctuation. Some can actually speak and write in real English sentences too. And SOME are even polite to the people who’ve answered a question they’ve asked! <gasp!>

With a response such as that, I won’t be telling you how to save money in future, that’s a certainty!

I do wonder how you can cheerfully make assumptions about my (or anyone else’s here) personal financial position. For all you know I could be anything from an undischarged unemployed bankrupt living on state handouts, through a pensioner on a very low fixed income, or a business man with huge debts to a multi-millionaire.

I suggest as a student your first purchase should be a book. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie would be an excellent choice.

ah, you DO understand the point then! all you gotta do is be less rude and maybe get a spell checker.

Near as I can ascertain, you’ve been developing a reputation for rudeness and really poor communication skills as far back as your AOL days in Georgia, circa 2000-2002, maybe even earlier.

Just like in the "RealPolice" forum, people here are volunteering their time, and have a lot to offer. If you’re a jackass, you’ll get hammered, and you’ll never win. If you’re reasonably pleasant and make an attempt to communicate clearly, you might be amazed at how much help you’ll receive.

It’s all up to you, dude. And you ARE in college, allegedly, right? One might think you’d understand the importance of punctuation, spelling, and decent sentence structure.

Most of what I get from that most recent reply is a hilarious mashed-potato mess of letters and spaces.

And what you call "stocking" (HAH!) I call research.

Have fun, I’m done.

But seriously, man: USE SOME BLOODY PUNCTUATION!

"i say what is one my mind and i don’t care if u or any one else dosent like me thats not my problem"

True…but by being rude "back" to people who you asked for help you’re kinda screwing yourself over.

While I agree that an ability to spell does not necessarily connote intelligence, without punctuation you kind of loose all claim to coherency.

P.S. This forum has a spell checker built directly into it. (though it’s dictionary might due well from an upgrade…it doesn’t recognize the word ‘coherency’.

I think this one has outlived what little usefulness it ever had.
