Verify serial number of photoshop cs2

I recently bought the adobe photoshop cs2 software from ebay and would like to verify the serial number. I’ve called customer support and was told the software number was invalid. I’d like someone to check it again before I send it back for a refund please…Can I have this verified on this forum as support is closed….

We’re just users of the product here…that’s the reason for "User to User" in the Forum name.

If customer support told you that the serial number is invalid, that’s all you need to hear.

Never a good idea, AFAIC. I hope you didn’t use a credit card. If so, I’d be on the look out for unauthorized charges.

Never bought on ebay? You never give out your CC number when buying on ebay, everything goes through PayPal.

Not a big fan. But I did buy a DSL modem a few years back. I would NEVER buy software on eBay.

And how exactly do you expect us to verify it. Look at it and decide if it looks like our serial numbers or not?

Customer support is the ONLY place that knows which serial numbers are valid, and they have told you yours is not. You got ripped off.

My mistake, I though this was an online support forum including adobe personal….The software has been sent back….The ebay seller has a high percentage of positive feedback and has accepted the return….Will have to wait for the outcome….Thanks for those who responded…I obviously didnt expect anyone to "look" at a serial number to verify it, just wanted adobe personal to recheck before I raised all h+ll with the seller….

If you’re ever tempted to buy software like this, make sure the seller is willing to fill out and submit a transfer of license form to Adobe.
