I know that CS2 has a noise filter and have used it before. But recently I added Noiseware Pro plug in to my CS2 and am VERY VERY satisfied with the job that it does, almost seamlessly. I have read on here where some dont rate external plug-ins highly indicating that if PS is used correctly, one can accomplish the same thing. I guess thats true, but the Noiseware Pro to me is awesome. I am working on a family reunion with people sending me tons of scanned old photographs for a CD album that I am putting together, and the plug in is serving me extremely well. I bet there are other plugins that are equally good, so this is NOT to be construed as a commercial for that product.

I am planning on getting Noiseware too and I have Elements 2.0. What would you suggest I get- standalone or the plug in? Also- would you advise that the professional version has significant advantages over the standard or community versions? Thanks for your help!
Great questions and I asked the same ones to my professional photographer friend…I went with the professional version because I wanted to take advantage of maximum utility…I went with the plug-in version purely on recommendation…it is just so easy to use while I am in CS2. So far I have been so satisfied. You can send me an email and I will send you my gallery website so that you can see some of the products of using this plug-in if you are interested.

Thanks Cecil. I will definitely do that.
I use NoiseNinja with Photoshop CS with good results.
