Hi all

Adobe updater udated Acrobat 7 to v7.0.9 yesterday. Since then, PS CS2 (v9.0.1) gives a warning message upon start:

"Adobe Photoshop: Photoshop CS2.exe – Unable To locate Component. This application has failed to start because PDFL50.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."

If I dismiss this dialogue, CS2 opens and runs normally. I searched my HD for the .dll and found a copy in my Photoshop Album folder. I copied it over to the CS2 folder and restarted.

I then got the message:

" Adobe Photoshop: Photoshop CS2.exe – Ordinal Not Found. The ordinal 47 could not be located in the dynamic link library CoolType.dll."

Again, If I dismiss this dialogue, CS2 opens and runs normally.

I have tried a system restore to a point before Acrobat was updated, but the problem persists. Any ideas, please?

Regards,

Phil.

i updated abrobat 7 also, and was unable to open files in microsoft word, and then ie kept cliosing on me.
a friend who updated had the same problem with his excel files. what we both did was to uninstall acrobat 7 with its updates, and download a clean copy from the internet and reinstall. seems to have fixed the problem. wrote in message
