Hi ,

I’m designing a CD booklet , I have a visual in Photoshop that I want to place in the Illustrator file. I was told that I must export it as EPS in order to have it printed. I thought Illustrator will convert it when I’ll save as PFD. isn’t that true?

Thanks
S

If you are going to export the final document as a PDF from Illustrator, you might place the Photoshop document in Illustrator as A PSD (native Photoshop) or as a PDF (one of the latest levels of PDF).

So, you’ll retain any transparency you might have in the Photoshop file.

PDF could be better if having vector info in the Photoshop file, but there seems to be something a bit odd in vector info and PDFs from Photoshop CS2 (make a search in these forums about that if you feel like it).

Anyway, for that kind of work you need no EPS and you may lose many advantages of PSD or PDF.
