Can someone tell me where I can find some information on using softproof monitor rgb. I was surprised when told recently that this needs to be activated on to get good representation of the image.
My images are being sent on cd to image libraries Im in adobe 98 col space with my monitor calibrated and with this I persumed that the image on screen is already a good representation so why is soft proofing im monitor rgb actually doing?

Regards,

Simon

No, it does not need to be turned on.

You only need softproofing to see how the image will appear on paper, or how it will appear on another OS/display.
