With the imminent release of Windows Vista at the end of this month can anyone advise what the Adobe policy is to compatability of the two products.

I have Photoshop cs2 as an upgrade to Photoshop 6, currently with xp. If I upgrade to Vista as a clean install, will I be able to load Photoshop 6 and then the cs2 upgrade?

Or just install cs2 and pop in the PS 6 CD when the program asks for it.

Not sure what the policy is, but users have been coping with Vista Betas for the last few months, including the new CS 3.

I suspect things will work, but something will be broken and discovered late, and a patch will be made to fix it.

I’ve been running the release version of Vista (Ultimate 32 bit) for a while and the only things I’ve seen is that PS doesn’t use the Vista menu bar colors, etc. (which I understand is by design), and that you have to ‘use OS dialog’ in the file selection menus. This is true of both CS2 and CS3 beta. —

In the past, OS released after Photoshop’s own releases were unsupported. (But they worked)

My sister just tried and she was able to install Adobe Photoshop 6 on her Windows Vista Home Basic. She hasn’t seen in problems yet.
