When I attempt to open bmp files in Photoshop or ImageReady (CS2) I get the following error message:
Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document. I am able to view the same files in Bridge and I can open them in Illustrator. I tried restoring the default preferences in Photoshop, but the problem remains.
