O.K. I’ve been going around and around with Adobe literally for YEARS about my droplets not working…
If the very first version of Photoshop you installed on any given Windows PC was say Photoshop 6 for example and then you upgrade to CS2 and then delete Photoshop 6 the droplets will quit working in CS2… If you reinstall Photoshop 6 the droplets will then function with Photoshop CS2… It really doesn’t matter what version of Photoshop it is but it has to be the first version that as installed on that computer… For example say the first version of Photoshop I had installed was Photoshop 7 I then upgraded to CS and then again to CS2… If I remove Photoshop CS then my droplets will still work in CS2… If I remove Photoshop 7 though then my droplets quit working in CS2…
I’ve tried literally everything under the sun and while Adobe acknowledges it’s a problem they have yet to offer any solution that fixed the problem… I know it’s in the registry… I just don’t know where in the registry… Someone posted a DropletFixer.vbs file to this forum but even that does not work…
This happens on EVERY PC I have ever tried… Uninstalling the first version of Photoshop that was installed on that machine will infact make droplets quit working on any other version of Photoshop still on that computer…
Surely I can’t be the only one with this problem?…
Any ideas or have you heard of anything that might help… I’ve even tried editing the Windows registry and manually removing all traces of Photoshop per the Adobe Tech sheet and still NOTHING!…
