I’m trying to add a layer of text on an image, but the type size is incredibly small–I have to increase the font size to 1000pt to even get something that I would describe as a typical 12pt font. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks!

check the image ppi in image> image size. it’s probably set to something like "1". should default to 72ppi for web stuff. 300ppi or more for good printing.

Check the Resolution of your file. Is it very small, like 1 ppi?

Check Edit>Preferences>Units and Rulers>Units>Type

and change the type size between pixels, points, and mms to see what will work best for you.
