Yes,I’m sorry I didn’t elaborate more. I’m using Photoshop CS2 and have a class project due next week. I was thinking of an idea to have a jet plane burst through the main image. The effect I was looking for is similar to this image: < http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1MqQLVmBAnnHs61CkJ eZ5lpkM97o7x0> Except the jet would be breaking through instead of the flower. I just can’t figure it out. Thanks.
Awesome!!Thats exactly what I was looking for other than some sarcasm. I knew about the other site where I got the photo from but that was created with PS like 6 or 5 and I was having issues trying to create the effect with PSCS2. Believe me I tried a few times and could not get it right soooooooo… I thought maybe somebody here could help me out or at least maybe give me an easier way to produce this effect. Again thank you Nomad and Granny for the help. It’s what I was looking for.
If there is a specific step you are having problems with, it’s usually faster to post a link to the tutorial and mention what step is not working for you.
Sorry if I am going about this wrong, must be the dang cold getting to me. Basically I have tried this so many times, I think I messed myself up. Maybe you could tell me if I am even going about this right? I start with a color filled background then take the poly tool and make a hole for where I want my object to bust through or I also tried it on the image itself I wanted to use as the background. It seems I screw up when I try to make the triangle cutout portions with the lasso tool. When I get the ants marching on the triangle I guess I use the edit>cut but when I try to go back and use a color or gradient fill for the cut out sections it won’t work. I know it probably has to do with layers ect, but I am lost now. I should have, if I’m right a layer for my Jet, a layer for my bust out and a layer for the background image this will go on?? Any help would be great and thank you for the help.
