I have 2 satelite map images, these maps join together, however one map was taken in color and the other is black and white.
Is there any apps or techniques where color information from the colored image may be taken and transferred to the black and white image to color it.
I could imagine an App that could take the colored image and reduce it to black and white. certain grey shades would map to only a few possible colors. Then by training you could match the transformed greys from the colored image to equal greys in the black and white image.
I have tried using the magic wand to select grey shades from the B&W image and then filling with custom patterns taken from the colored image with some success but I feel there is a better more efficient way.
Note that the sat maps tend to only contain greens and yellows and so is not a color intense image
I look forward to any comments or advice
