Photoshop 7.0 shutting off when I’m trying to save, losing file.

I have windows xp and am using photoshop 7.0. On occasion when I am about to save a project the photoshop program completely closes and I lose hours of work.

Does it do it if you save more frequently as you should? Better to lose fifteen minutes of work than hours.

Did you try Resetting/Trashing Preferences? Are you updated to 7.0.1?

Shouldn’t be happening. How much disk space is available on the machine. What is the RAM>

like ed said, install 7.01. reset the prefrences (per the FAQ) and also you might want to search for and delete/rename psicon.dll on your system.
