Can anyone help me produce a white background? I am aiming to use white opaque and clear glass "buttons".

Any help or "how to’s" would be great.

Moira,

White buttons on a white background? You can specify the background colour when you create a new doc. You can also colour the background when the default colours are in play (black fore and white back) by hitting ctrl+backspace.
One way to to do it would be to use layerstyles to put dropshadows, bevels and glows on to the buttons to make them stand out from the background. Transparent buttons
