I’m totally learning as I go and may have missed something obvious. I am trying to make an animated GIF. I laid out 6 layers with borders and put in pictures. However when I go to save it, PSE will only save the top layer, therefore I can’t animate it. When I open it in PSE, all the layers are there. Am I not able to use JPEGs in an animation? Am I supposed to link the layers or something? I’ve read various helps and tutorials, but nothing tells me why PSE isn’t allowing me to save and view all the layers. Please help if you can. Thanks.

I use PSE as well and I can animations just fine. To save it as an animation, go to file and then click "save for web". A new window should pop up with option. There should be a box that you can check that says animate. In that window, you can also change how fast you want the image to be animated. To preview the animation, click the little web browser type button at the bottom of that window. Sorry if I am not that good at explaining.

Good luck 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I’ll try again with a new file and see it will let me animate the new one.
