I currently have approx. 1000 photos here in my studio to create two photo montages. I want to scan the photos using two scanners so that I can load one with photos while the other is scanning. When I open the TWAIN dialogue the source says "flatbed" and the software recognizes one scanner but the source box is ghosted so I cannot choose the other scanner. Only the one that’s recognized by the TWAIN software. I have an Epson 1250 and an Epson 2450 attached to the computer.

The easiest way I can think of is to let Vuescan <http://www.hamrick.com/> run one, while you use TWAIN inside Photoshop for the other.
