I need to place a ‘grid’ over a picture and print it so that both are shown. I have created a ‘pattern’ of ‘cross-wires’, which works fine. But. Is there a way of changing the pattern size as I fill the pattern, or will I have to create different sized patterns. The reason is that the images I want to use are often different sizes and this affects the appearance of the grid! Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

How are you applying the pattern?

Use the layer styles palette. Small "f" at the buttom of the layers palette and select pattern. In that D-box you can resize the pattern.

Depending on the size/resolution of the image you may have to create a bigger pattern (Define Pattern) to get the pattern to look good at larger sizes.

Hope that’s what you’re looking for.

Thanks very Ed. I thought someone would have the answer. I’m a newbie to this application.
