I’m in the UK and wondering why it is that we in our country can’t get a DVD with the trial version of Photoshop CS2 on it, but the USA site will freely distribute these DVDs to anyone who request them, just so long as they live in the US.

Why can’t they allow the UK users the same DVD?

Hmm.
Joe.

EU regulations? Don’t know why, why not just download it?

It’s probably for logistical reasons. Why can’t they ship the same DVD to France, Germany, Saudi, India, Australia and a few dozen other countries? Probably because it’s cheaper and easier to use this marketing idea in the country where their base of operations is located, where the customs & excise procedures of numerous states don’t even enter the equation.

Everything is the same, nothing is worthwhile
the world is senseless, and so is my sigfile.

I’d love to download it, but I still have dialup! (Don’t laugh, please). 😉 It suits me to have dialup, but broadband would be cool for downloads like this one.
It’ll be a few months until I get a faster connection in. BTW, I don’t think they allow a download of this one anyway. I wanted to try out the whole CS2 Suite, but I think they only let you download photoshop.
Maybe if I email them and ask them nicely…..? Nah.

Cheers.
