Is there a way to create dotted lines in Photoshop? While varying the degree of the dots and color?

My search in help only came up with something called "slices" and I got totally lost.

Thanks

Is there an image you could post as an example?

Dotted lines as in ……..

or as in Pointillism et Seurat and all that or something different altogether?

When all else fails, you can usually get good results by mining Google.

Just use the format of: photoshop tutorial xxxxxxx, where "xxxxxxx" is the name of the tool or technique you want to learn.

In your case I used: photoshop tutorial dotted lines, and the results returned all the info you’ll need < http://www.google.com/search?q=Photoshop+tutorial+dotted+lin es&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en -US:official&client=firefox-a>. I’ll leave it to you to dig through the links.

In order to make your dots vary in color, select your brush, and go to the Brushes Palette.

In the left-side column you’ll see "Color Dynamics"

Click on this, and experiment with the jitter values for hue saturation and brightness.
