Wondering if there is a codec or plugin that will allow me to create layers and paint on 32 bit images without converting to 16 bit. Or am I forced to convert to 16 bit?

Thanks

By 32 bit image, do you mean 32 bits per channel or 32 bits total (aka 8 bits/channel for a CMYK image)

Thanks
