When I try to scan a photo into CS2 using it’s Import function CS2 freezes as soon as the scan is complete. CS2 is otherwise working normally under Vista.

I can scan a photo outside of CS2 ok.

Grateful for any advice anyone has.

Thanks

David

Is the scanner driver Vista compatible?

Yes, it is.

Are you sure it’s freezing? It could be waiting for you to kill the scanner interface. I had a problem like that and had to move the scanner window to a second monitor to get it out of the way since the photo was covering it and I couldn’t move either one.

There’s a bug somewhere in that combination but just moving it before scanning seems to do the trick.

On my V700 after I scan in to Photohop the scanner dialogs drop to the back behind Photoshop. Unless I bring it back to the front and close it Photoshop acts frozen. Make sure as Bob said this isn’t happening. I don’t know why Epson does this.

Thank you very much. That was the problem. Pilot error as usual.

I would call it Epson error! It annoys the hell out of me when it happens. And it isn’t consistent.

I guess Epson pushes the program to the back in case you wan to do more scanning before you edit. But, I wish there was a preference setting to have it close after import. I don’t like the way it works now, seems sloppy.
