Some how the whites in my Photoshop CS is not correct. It is a cream color. In all other programs, including Image Ready, whites show up as true white. Also, anything I print from CS prints white, not the strange cream color. Thus, the problem has to be in the Photoshop display only, not in the monitor calibration.

My color space is currently set to sRGB. I have tried changing it, with no result. I have also gone through all the color settings I could find. Finally, I uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop. Nothing has worked.

I seem to recall that the change happened when I was white balancing an old wedding photo using the white picker in Levels. One moments, the whites were fine, the next they were cream. Oddly, when I go to the Color Picker or Swatches the output and color number are the same as a true white in any other program.

This problem is particularly troubling because I work primarily with photographs and I cannot color correct an image if my whites are not showing up correctly. Please Help!!!!!!

Check your proof settings

Also, is your monitor calibrated?

If yes, try making a new profile from it (delete the old one first)

Cyber Nomad, thanks for the tips. The monitor is calibrated, but I’ll try your other suggestions.
