Hello,

we have a problem with deploying cs2 to our clients. By useing the BITS techic. With is it nessacry to been administrator to install the MSI package. By the way you can deploy Office 2007 with this BITS technique and you can be sure Office 2007 adding more entry in your Windows system as Photoshop CS2.

So any suggestion? Is there a special MSI package? Or why requieres CS2 this special rights?

Thanks,
Bjoern

Hello Bjoern,

I am no expert on this, but at least based upon what I have observed where I work, Microsoft Office is available with a license and installation package that permits deployment and maintenance from a network server to multiple clients. However, our IT department always has to have someone go out to a client’s PC to install Photoshop; even though it is a volume license, it appears to require a localized client-based installation. Note also that if your clients are to be using Photoshop in a color-managed workflow requiring use of Adobe Gamma, they will also require local Administrator privileges or, if I remember correctly, login access to the local Administrator user acccount.

Regards,

Daryl

as daryl said, i’m pretty sure you need admin rights to install.
