I just discovered this the hard way: I am using Photoshop CS on Win XP, PC. I needed a file to be 336.67 mm wide EXACTLY, no matter what I do, the thing defaults to 336.63. I didn’t realize this and sent it off the printer who promptly sent it back to me for resizing…well, it wouldn’t LET me resize it, no matter what I did, I changed the number, but when I double checked, it was changed again?! Is there a default in the mm I need to adjust or something? I usually work in inches. It threw my project off centre and that could have cost me $$, had the printer let it go like that.

This is because PS works in pixels and not mm or inches.

Make sure your resolution is set in pixels per mm. To ensure you have the measure you need you res will need to be 30 pixels per cm (3 pixels per mm) or an even multiple of that

You are going to have to come up with some way that makes the 336.67 mm work out to an integer number of pixels. Photoshop cannot create a canvas that has a fractional number of pixels. If you are at 72 ppi (whatever that would be in cm) then it is quite likely that the canvas size will have to be rounded to another size to get integer numbers of pixels.

If you use a higher resolution, the difference will be less, and some number should allow you to come up with exact figure.

(I see Nomad worked out the math, which I was too lazy to try.)
