I’m usually quicker at the draw to install new versions of Photoshop. Alas I was a day late 😉 I’m on a PC(Intel mobo, Core-duo E6600, XP-Pro, 4G RAM w/3G switch) and wonder if there’s a simple fix for this one?

If I launch PS10 and then Bridge 2,0,0,975, Bridge crashes when I close it. If I load Bridge before PS10 all is fine. If I open Bridge alone and close it all is fine. If I open 9.02 and then Bridge 2,0,0,975 and close bridge before closing PS it closes fine.

Am I going to find out that this is normal for under XP and Adobe will recommend that I upgrade to Vista (yuck) before their new baby will behave properly?

I un-installed the Beta about a month ago, ie: before installing this version. I’ve tried reducing my memory alotted to PS (2640 MB is indicated as ‘available’ with a recommended range of 1456-1906 MB). Setting RAM as low as 500 MB still causes Bridge to crash with the following error info:

AppName: bridge.exe
AppVer: 2.0.0.975
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180
Offset: 00018fea

Anyone got any ideas?

If there’s a possibility that there were some old file wasn’t deleted by the Beta uninstaller I’ll try uninstalling this version and then go through all the hiding places in the Registry to delete any leftovers.

Has anyone else had this problem?

My environment behaves exactly the same way, and I’m on Vista

Exact same behavior here!
I am amazed by the non-responsiveness of Adobe on this one…

Just for the record, with PS10 and XP Pro, I get precisely the same results that Russell posted. In the overall scheme of things, however, I see it as a minor bug, so I didn’t even bother to report it.

This one will probably stay on the back burner for a while, as it seems there are large, angry mobs who paid good money for a product that they cannot even get to install. Adobe’s triage unit must take care of them first, or risk getting blood all over their carpets and walls. 🙂

Thanks, SCraig and Russell. Enabing "Photoshop Services" in the Bridge preferences cured mine, too. A couple of people in the above thread report no joy. Maybe yet another setting in Bridge is holding them back?

Is the indicated .dll actually in System 32?

There seems to be a flurry of missing dlls in CS3 causing mishaps. Makes me wonder if Adobe forgot to pay the dll distribution fees!
