Hey Infan. It’s no use shouting at fellow users!
Adobe give free support for instalation issues.
Also worth considering is that you might have a fault with your CD rom. Try copying all the files to your desktop and start the installation from there.
You need to get in touch with Adobe Customer Support. This is a User forum.
Try running this in a command prompt (with admin priviliges if you’re on Vista): regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\jscript.dll

thanks mate but am on windows xp sp 2 thanks anyways
Having the same problem but have run the Clean Script for Windows to get rid of CS3 beta. Now it says a Windows uninstaller is not present. Huh!! Now where do I find that??? Really frustrated…hate to start going into the registry like the manual method suggests. This is not fun…..please advise.
thanks
The same problem here.
I did every thing on the paper "How to clean your system…" Nothing works. All methods, all levels.
I can’t install Photoshop CS3 on Win XP, SP2, Pentium 4, 3ghz,4gb Ram, lots of disk space. The Adobe CS3 Clean Script doens’t fix the installer problem.
Just a guess, because my CS3 hasn’t been delivered yet, but did you guys deactivate the CS3 public beta?
Good point Nick. Does that take care of Bridge CS3 beta as well?
Yes. And every thing Adobe tells me to do…
Nothing works.
I’m thinking about format, install back Windows and try again… But, will this work?
Does that take care of Bridge CS3 beta as well?
I don’t know, John. I just happened across the reference about being sure to deactivate the CS3 beta, myself. Luckily, I saved my beta serial number, from back when I installed that. You’ll need the serial number to deactivate it.
I made the mistake of running the clean script! Fortunately, I have a dual boot machine, and went to the other side, did a simple uninstall from Windows and then put CS on. No problem. I DID NOT RUN THE SCRIPT.
Now, I cannot install on the previous boot partition no matter what I do.
I was able to install without incident–used the uninstall in control panel after deactivating PSCS3 beta. However–I’m having the 2 annoying problems in full version as beta so feel that there is ‘stuff’ still hanging around (no dropdown menu in selections and can’t open Bridge from app). I’ve uninstalled CS3, have the script but wonder if that will work since I’ve already uninstalled the beta.
I had no problem with the public beta of LR—but this one is a bear. I’m not one to muck about in registry, etc.–so not sure where I’ll go with this. Back to CS2 for now–use LR’s RC or RSP, but I liked the beta so much I really want a working version–so I’ll keep trying.
