I bought the upgrade to CS3 standard today. Decided not to get CS3 extended until I see what happens with it.

I realized after I bought, downloaded, and installed my CS3 standard version, that I haven’t seen an option to upgrade to the extended version down the road.

Did I miss it? Is their an option somewhere to upgrade from CS3 standard to CS3 extended? How much does it cost?

you have 30 days to exchange according to another poster here. you need to contact adobe and tell them and order the extended version they’ll tell you to fill out a form instructing you to destroy the standard version then send that form back to them as proof you’ve destroyed it.

iow, you can’t update the standard vers directly.
call customer service.

Hmm… That seems incredibly lame. Anyone know if they plan to change this?

Oh well. Really seems like a bad decision to me. I don’t want extended right now but I sure would like the option of upgrading down the road.

the whole extended edition scheme seems lame.

Anyone know if they plan to change this?

like remove the 30 day grace period? be careful what you wish for!

I dont have a problem with the extended version, but not having the option to upgrade later just doesn’t make any sense.

Why not allow people to upgrade down the road? CS2 came out in 2005 right? Now it’s 2007… Do they expect people to wait almost two years to upgrade from CS3 standard to CS4 extended?

30 Day grace period is fine and all, but I don’t want to upgrade now. I want the option of upgrading 6, 8, or 12 months from now.
