I uninstalled the beta from the control panel after deactivating CS3 (never could find the deactivation in menu for Bridge). A Bridge folder was left–but with no data as far as I could tell, so I deleted it (bad, probably). I chose not to run the script–but do have it.

My "same ol’" problem is—using selections, I cannot get the dropdown menu to ‘stick’ so I can choose the method (i.e., fixed ratio, etc.). The second problem is that I cannot open Bridge from PSCS3 (I have installed the full version–its not the beta–though all my plugins were in place, etc.–)–I get an error message 10. I can open Bridge as I open any app, from a shortcut or start menu, just not from PSCS3.

I’m uninstalling PSCS3 as I speak, but wonder if running the script will do anything since I do have the beta uninstalled–but either PSCS3 didn’t install correctly or there are ‘things’ left over.

I don’t know that there is one for Bridge. FWIW, in PSCS3 Beta it’s located at Help>Deactivate. My guess is that deactivates Bridge too.

Wow, I thought that I was the only one getting the drop-down menu problems. This was a problem in the Beta version and thought it was just a pre-production glitch. Very disappointed that it happens in the production version.
Does this problem happen every time you open CS3? It doesn’t with me – if I open CS3 enough times the problem will go away (but may still come back later if I close and re-open CS3).
I have also found that when this problem happens I cannot open recently opened files from the ‘Open Recent’menu.

Simon, uninstalling CS3 (as I noted in the above post, I had already deactivated and did the control panel/remove of the beta) again, then running the clean script and reinstalling CS3 solved the problem. I have had no problems thus far with CS3–the drop down menus work. I think, without running the clean script, that the ‘issues’ from the beta continue into the final version.

So–get the script from the Adobe support and try it–be sure you also have the MS install utility (a link is given in the pdf included with the clean script–or in the instructions on the support page).
