Hi everybody

I installed CS3 extended, and everything seemed fine until…I opened a photo !

When I hover over a photo, the cursor starts blinking, so it is impossible to do anything ! With CS2 it works fine !

I have a logitech mouse, might be that the problem, as I read in another post ??

thanx in advance for your help !!

Have you restarted since the install?
Do you have a mouse and a tablet? No tool on the tablet while you move the mouse?

First try updating your Logitech mouse drivers. If that doesn’t work, uninstall them completely and try another mouse if you have one.

Please let us know what Logitech mouse you have and if possible, the current (un-updated) version of the driver.

Thanks.

I am having the same exact issue. I have a GE Model#HO97769rev2 scroll mouse, and a Wacom tablet.

The cursor blinks, and not only drives my eyes batty, but I can’t use the pull down menus for layer styles, I can’t grab and resize anything.

I did a reinstall of the PS CS3 software, and it seemed to correct the issue only to have it happen the next day. I tried to do that again and it didn’t work this time.

I uplugged the mouse, and I still have the issue when using the Waco or the touch pad on my laptop.

I am pulling my hair out.

I just updated my wacom drivers. I don’t know if I had the most current so I gave it a shot. Seems to be all ok now…..for now. We will see later if it spazzes out again.

There was an issue with the beta that had the same result. You may have your CS2 plugins folder as an additional plugins folder in CS3. This causes the problem. Remove that setting and reinstall all your 3rd party plugins under CS3.

Don’t blame me if this doesn’t work!

I will do that as well. I avoided doing that at first. I didn’t want to spend a ton of time to reinstall the plugins before i got everything else working.
SO far so good with the driver update for my wacom tablet (intuos3). I will move the plugins now, and I promise not to blame you if that doesn’t work. 😉

Greetings!

Just to add my experience here. I was having the exact same cursor blinking issue. It was from using PS CS2 plug-ins folder for PS CS3. I have since removed the additional plug-ins folder from within preferences and installed plug-ins for PS CS3 and everything is solid and stable! btw: Using a Kensignton Track Ball with ver 6.2.2 drivers. Kudos to the people at Adobe for an awesome release!
