Well, searching the forum does not help… Therefore I opened this topic.
Nonetheless, thank you for answering.
There was a thread that started on April 17 entitled Windows 2003. I’m on a newsreader so I can’t give you a link.

I tried to install CS3 upgrade (WinXP 64Bits, 2 x 3,2 XEON, 4GIG RAM)The installer freezes the machine when it gets to install or uninstall the shared components.
Support was dismal. They simply suggested deleting Flash Player. They were supposed to send information on how to install and uninstall manually CS3 I am still waiting…
The Beta worked fine. I reconstructed my machine to prepare for a clean install of CS3. Not good, I am pretty much in a corner. I cant test a trial version, I am nervous to purchase a full version. The support is nil and I had a very hard time understanding the person who answered my call (India).
Suggestions any one ???
By ‘reconstructed my machine’ what do you mean?. You started from scratch? Or did you use the Clean Up program from Adobe? If the latter, I can only suggest that you may have really fouled up your system.
I have a dual boot XP Sp1 2 gig machine (not 64 bit)that I ran the Clean up Script on. CS3 will not install on that side of my computer–I get a message that the installation software is corrupt.
However, I decided to try the install on the other side of my dual boot system without using the clean up script–just a normal windows uninstall of the Beta CS3. It installed perfectly the first time.
This is precisely the reason I have a dual boot system.
All I can suggest is that if you have a backup of your system, you try again. I also suggest that you take a close look at the support for 64 bit systems on Adobe products. There appear to be a lot of problems with them and I believe that I have read that Adobe does not officially support them with Photoshop and Bridge.
