InDesign CS3 upgrade – have to upgrade Photoshop also??

I have InDesign CS2 and Photoshop CS2. I want to upgrade InDesign to CS3 but will I also have to upgrade Photoshop to CS3? Would there be any issues if I did not upgrade it? Advantages?

I was on the InDesign prerelease program and used it with PS CS2 during the entire testing program. I didn’t see any problems. If you have no need to update Photoshop you can skip it.

It also works the other way around.

I’ve been working with the Photoshop CS3 Prerelease program and I was placing PSDs with smart filters into IDCS2 as long as you have maximum file compatibility checked you won’t have a problem.
